About Us

The mission of the Three Affiliated Tribes Records Office is to preserve and make available to the public the permanent and essential governmental record of Tribal Business Council of the Mandan Hidatsa and Arikara Nation.  The Records Office maintains the official record of tribal government actions. The office is responsible for taking and processing the minutes of the Tribal Council meetings and other tribal meetings as prescribed. The Records Office functions as a liaison between tribal members, tribal program staff, and tribal entities. The Records Office disseminates information regarding actions taken by the Tribal Council and/or Committees of the Tribal Council.  Under the Three Affiliated Tribes Executive Secretaries Authority, the Records Office assists with any and all Three Affiliated Tribes Official Elections / Secretarial Elections notification of Tribal Council meetings. Carry out any and all duties / tasks as Directed by the Three Affiliated Tribes, Standing-Executive Secretary and development of Records Management Policy & Procedures.

  • Articles of Incorporation (11-126-VJB) - Corporation Act)

    • Filing of Articles of Incorporation - Duplicate originals of the articles of incorporation shall be delivered to the Tribal Secretary for the Three Affiliated Tribes. If the Tribal Secretary finds that the articles of incorporation conform to tribal law, the Secretary shall: (a) Endorse on each such duplicate originals the word "filed" and the month, day and year of the filing thereof; (b) Maintain one such duplicate original in the Tribal Secretary's office; and (c) Issue a Certificate of Incorporation to which the Secretary shall affix the duplicate original and return it to the incorporators. Fee: Free [See Section XIV- Corporation Act]

    • Filing of Amended or Restated Articles - Follow the same original filing process. New Issuance date and certificate. Fee: Free [See Section XVIII- Corporation Act]

    • Filing Articles of Dissolution - Fee: Free- [See Section XX- Section XXVIII - Corporation Act]

    • Certificates of Existence With Status In Good Standing. Fee: Free - Upon filing an annual report with the Tribal Secretary the corporation will receive the Certificate. - Fee: Free- [See Section XXXVIII- Corporation Act] - Contact the Tax Dept. to start process.

  • Limited Liability Company Code (19-069-FWF) - This Section is In Progress
