ND Public Health Association Outstanding Service Award

NEW TOWN, ND - Holly Mayer-Taft received a surprise award notification from the North Dakota Department of Health Association today.  Holly was notified she is the recipient of the Outstanding Service Award, which honors an individual who has exhibited continued excellence in the field of public health within the state of North Dakota.  

Holly was nominated for the award by fellow colleagues from across the Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara Nation.

Holly received her Bachelors in Nursing from the University of North Dakota and completed her Master’s in Science Nursing at Walden University.  

“Holly is one of the few nurses we have at Elbowoods Memorial Health Clinic who has dedicated 29 years and 9 months to the people of the Three Affiliated Tribes,” said Councilwoman Monica Mayer, M.D. “We are eternally grateful for all her years of service.”

Holly will formally receive the award at the 2018 Dakota Conference on Rural and Public Health Awards Banquet in early Summer 2018 at the Alerus Conference Center in Grand Forks, ND.

Bi-monthly "College Ready" Sessions

The Bismarck Satellite Office and the MHA Education Pipeline Program will be hosting bi-monthly "COLLEGE READY" sessions starting February 1, 2018 from 3:00-7:00 pm.  

Students and potential students can come anytime during the hours listed to begin working on their FAFSA's and scholarships with the help of a mentor.

There will be snacks and door prizes.

Failure to attend classes without notifying the instructor will result in losing the opportunity to enroll in another class for one year. You may not enroll in more than one course at a time.
