NHSC Receives College Readiness Grant

New Town, N.D. -- Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College has been awarded a $5,000 college readiness grant

from the American Indian College Fund’s Native Pathways to College initiative. The funding will be used

to increase college readiness and college-going practices among MHA Nation students.

“Transitioning to higher education can be challenging. With this grant and the collaborative efforts of

the academic community, NHSC will draw more students to our college,” said Constance King Gottschall,

students and their families before they come to campus. NHSC is a bridge between K-12 education and

life-changing degrees.”

The new college admissions initiative will be called "Storm Offers Support (SOS): College Knowledge."

It incorporates the NHSC team name and focuses on middle school, high school, dual-credit and GED
