Non-violent Crisis Intervention In-Person Training

I'm pleased to announce that we plan to provide two Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and De-escalation training in May to all TAT employees and public who are interested in learning strategies and techniques to manage and de-escalate risk behaviors in the workplace. The training dates are:

 

Training 1: May 12, 2023, 8 AM-5 PM at the TERO Conference Room 

Training 2: May 26, 2023, 8 AM-5 PM at the TERO Conference Room 

 

The training is in-person and will be provided by MHA Nation's Certified Instructors to all levels of human services professionals, including office staff, social workers, counselors, and youth workers. ALL ARE WELCOME.

 

Through the training you will learn:

  • Decision-making and communication skills during escalated situations

  • Responding to defensive behaviors

  • Safety intervention techniques, disengagement skills

  • Introduction to restrictive interventions

  • Post crisis steps

  • The participative portion of the training will teach you and show you how to take defensive actions


This engaging, participative training is free of cost and consists of a 4-hour pre-requisite online course and an 8-hour in-person training.
